JAMES MAY ~ International Gymnast for G.B.; Retired from Competitions in 1992,now an International Brevet Judge

James represented Great Britain on numerous occasions and took part in all of the highest level competitions on the world gymnastic scene the highlight being his participation in the Barcelona Olympic Games in 1992 where he qualified for the All Around final.
He was Great Britain Champion in 1989.
James represented G.B. at three World Championships: 1985 in Montreal; 1987 in Stuttgart and 1991 in Indianapolis and qualified for the All Around Finals on two occasions.
He took part in five European Championships and qualified for the Vault finals three times.
At the 1990 Commonwealth Games in Auckland he won an incredible 5 medals [1 Gold ~ Vault, 2 Silver ~ Team & Rings and 2 Bronze ~ All Around & Pommel Horse].
He is one of an elite few gymnasts in the world to have an element named after him & has been awarded the ‘Master Gymnast of Great Britain’ for his services to British Gymnastics.
AMY SHARP ~ Current member of Bristol Hawks Elite Squad & Junior International G.B. Gymnast.

Amy is a member of British Gymnastics World Class Potential Squad and has been a member of the National Squad since 2007.
In 2007 she won the British Age Group Level 2 Championships and was selected to attend the U.E.G. International Training Camp in Tirrenia, Italy where she enjoyed training with many of Europe’s top young gymnasts.
In 2008 she travelled to Onesti in Romania with members of the World Class Start Squad for a joint training camp with the Romanian Junior Squad. This year she was once again selected to train alongside the Romanian Juniors in a joint camp held at the National High Performance Centre in Loughborough University England.
In 2009 she was selected for the G.B. Junior [U’13] team for a three way international in Spergau Germany. She was a part of the winning British Team that beat both the Swiss & German Juniors.
Amy was 3rd in the all around in the Espoir British Championships
2009.
She is the current Espoir British Champion on Bars.
She is the current Espoir English Champion on Beam
She is also South West Regional F.I.G. 13 & under champion.
Amy has continued to be selected for G.B. This year she has already competed for G.B. traveling to France to take on both the Romanian & French Junior Teams.
RHIAN PUGH ~ International Gymnast for G.B. & Wales. Retired from Competitions in 2008, now an International Junior Brevet Judge & Level 3 WA Coach.

Awarded Master Gymnast of Great Britain for her services to British Gymnastics, Rhian will go down in history as Britain’s first ever woman to achieve a European Gold Medal. She was part of the highly successful Junior European G.B. Team that in 2004 stormed to prominence at the championships held in Amsterdam. Rhian beat strong opposition from the Russians, Ukrainians and Italians to take the Bars title for G.B.
Rhian started her International gymnastics career in 2002 competing for G.B. at the CEFTA Cup in the Czech Republic.
Rhian went on to be selected by G.B. to compete at many of the major gymnastic events through-out the world including World Championships, Senior & Junior European Championships & World Cup events. In 2006 she competed for Wales at the Commonwealth Games in Melbourne helping the team to their best ever finish & making the Bar Final. Rhian was well known for her original & elegant work particularly on the Bars.
SHANNON LEE ~ Current member of Bristol Hawks Elite Squad & Welsh Junior International Gymnast

Shannon first competed for her Home Nation, Wales, at the Celtic Cup in Lisburn Ireland in 2008. She is now a regular member of the Junior Team and was part of the gold medal winning teams at both the British Schools Apparatus Championships and the Celtic Cup 2009. She was selected to represent Wales at the UK School Games in Cardiff where she helped the team to victory. In 2009 she represented Wales at the World School Games in Qatar. Following Shannon’s good showing at the British Espoir Championships 2009 [8th in the All Around] she earnt her place in the Great Britain World Class Potential Squad. She qualified for apparatus finals on Floor & was first reserve for both the Vault & Beam. In the Espoir British Finals she just missed out on the medals reaching 4th place on Floor.
CAROLYN FYFE ~ International Gymnast for Great Britain; Retired from Competitions in 2007, now a WA Level 4 Coach.

During her gymnastic performance career Carolyn won 12 county titles; 8 regional titles and in 2006 she won the British Universities Senior Elite Title. She has competed for her region, South West, on numerous occasions helping the team to win National titles at both British Schools & Inter-Regional Championships. She has been a member of the SW Regional squad & the Junior National Squad.
In 1996 she was selected to represent Great Britain in a Junior International against Holland.
In 2005 she was selected to represent Great Britain at the World University Games in Turkey where she qualified for the AA final.
In 2007 she was selected to represent Great Britain at the World University Games in Thailand again qualifying for the AA final and achieving a personal best score.
Alongside her gymnastics training Carolyn also studied for a Sports Science Degree graduating with a 2:1 in 2006.
CLAUDIA FRAGAPANE ~ Current member of Bristol Hawks Elite Squad & South West Regional Squad & Team Member.

Claudia is the current English Espoir [12/13yrs] Vault Champion a title she won at the English Championships held in Leicester on 5th March 2010. She also placed 9th overall.
She has been selected to represent her region on a numerous occasions; most recently she was the youngest girl to be selected for the South West Senior Team that competed at the British Schools Girls Apparatus Championships in Newcastle on 28th March 2010. She was top scorer for the South West Team despite being the youngest member of the team.
She has been a member of the South West Regional Gymnastics Squad for the last four years. At the South West Regional Championships [September 2009] she was placed 5th overall in the Senior age group [12yrs upwards]. Last year she was also third in the Bristol Espoir [12/13yrs] Championships behind her two team mates from Bristol Hawks G.C. who are one year older than her.
She has qualified for Great Britain’s top competition the ‘British Championships’. This is a massive achievement which only the very gifted, talented and hardworking gymnasts are able to attain.
